Brattleboro Memorial Hospital is now offering generous scholarships to help qualified applicants enter the healthcare field or advance their current healthcare careers. Check out the following opportunities:
1. Become a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA). LNAs are trained to become part of an interdisciplinary clinical team that provides patients with basic care and support throughout their hospital stay. Use this $2,000 PCA-to-LNA scholarship opportunity toward a program of study leading to LNA licensure and a full-time position at BMH in as little as six months. 2. Become a Medical Assistant (MA). Medical assistants support physicians and other healthcare providers with administrative and clinical tasks in a variety of healthcare settings. Use this $5,000 scholarship to become a medical assistant in as little as six months. 3. Become a Phlebotomy Technician. Phlebotomy Technicians are the “Face of the Lab,” providing direct service to the community by collecting high-quality blood specimens that can be accurately analyzed in BMH’s CLIA-accredited laboratory. 4. Become a Medical Laboratory Scientist. This $8,000 partial scholarship has been established to help the successful candidate earn a two-year Associates Degree in Medical Laboratory Science. This degree will open the door to a rewarding career using state-of-the-art analyzing equipment in the clinical laboratory field. 5. Advance your career through an RN-to-BSN Program. Advance your nursing career through an RN-to-BSN program of study . RN’s who earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) extend their knowledge in professional nursing practice through an advanced curriculum. Many become preferred candidates for leadership roles. 6. Become a Registered Respiratory Therapist. This $10,000 scholarship is divided over a two-year associate degree program ($5,000 per year). Recipients must be enrolled in an accredited program. Upon graduation and licensure, BMH will offer you full-time employment that begins with a six-month residency training program after which a two-year work commitment to BMH is required. 7. Earn Advanced Certification as a Radiologic Technologist. Incoming and existing radiologic technologists can leverage this $16,000 award for training and learning materials to further their education and advance their skills in modalities including CT, Mammography, Bone Density, and MRI. Upon completion of advanced certification, BMH will offer you a position that makes use of the modalities you have mastered.
