Additional Details
Dr. Eric Gallagher is an orthopaedic surgeon (a specialist in caring for musculoskeletal injuries) and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. His journey into orthopedics began in high school after experiencing a broken collar bone while skiing. Since then, he has never looked back!
Dr. Gallagher has a special interest and expertise in performing hip and knee replacements and minimally invasive hip arthroscopy. He performs hip replacements through the anterior approach using a cosmetic bikini incision. When performing hip and knee replacements he uses cutting edge MAKO robotic assistance, which can lead to faster and better recoveries.
Although he is a surgeon, Dr. Gallagher believes surgery is a last resort and that most musculoskeletal problems get better with less invasive treatments such as physical therapy, medications, and injections. He believes in shared decision making and he places great value on his patients’ thoughts and opinions.
